Subject: Seeking ProvideX Consultant
Hi,
We have a need
for a ProvideX consultant to help us access (read and write) information
to a ProvideX database created with the software package (.........................................).
We would like to be able to access this via an ODBC DSN (for access
specifically via VB, ColdFusion/Dreamweaver, PHP and Python) but are
having serious issues with getting to all of the tables (seem to error out
with little information as to the error issues).
To compound issues we really have little idea of how ProvideX works; what
files belong to the database, what fields are in what tables, what the
field definitions are (like INT, VARCHAR, size, etc.), and any
associations of one table to another (if this is applicable to ProvideX).
Naturally we are on a short development timeline and we would rather not
have to reverse-engineer the ProvideX system.
I can supply an example demo database, I think in its entirety, for your
inspection if needed to give cost estimates.
Please let me know your rates and availability.
Thanks,
MIS Manager

Subject : ProvideX
Hello,
We found you guys through the web. We have an
application written in ProvideX. It's an accounting package called
"Facts". It has all the usual accounting modules. From your information
it seems like you guys have some exceptional expertise in ProvideX. We
occasionally need modifications done to this; for example report
modifications, module enhancements and additions etc.
Would you be interested in this type of work?
Thanks
Z. A.

Subject: Potential Sub-Contract work in BBX
Dear Mr. Siddiqui,
Mobecomm Inc. provides custom software
solutions to a variety of commercial and industrial clients. Lately we
had received requests to develop BBX based applications, in which we lack
expertise. We are impressed with your background in BBX and would like to
add your name to our roster of consultants we use for sub-contract work.
Should you wish to join our team of
sub-contractors, please provide us with your daily rates for software
development. Our contracts generally are of 3-4 months durations.
Also, should you be interested in
working with us on a sub-contract basis please provide us approximate
availability schedule on a yearly basis.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Hameed Uddin

Subject: Re: St Law data conversion
Good work Waseeq.
I know it was quite a challenge to walk in there and undertake the
conversion of the data after such a short time at St Lawrence. To change
the colour tables, which affect almost all the other data, at the same
time makes the task even more daunting. I'm impressed, especially that you
did it so quickly.
We've already started preparing new conversion this morning. It should
take the better part of the day to process, since we are doing the
complete database this time. Tomorrow we will check the data and turn it
over to you if all is well. If there are any issues we will discuss them
and correct the data as appropriate.
We will generate a list of these issues or any fields that you should
verify with the staff there and develop a strategy to fill them (either
manually by your staff or automatically after we get an explanation).
Once you get the converted database, you'll have to do a few spot checks
on the master files and then the transactions. You may have to fill in the
fields that haven't converted automatically to accomplish these tests.
This should be temporary and limited to the purposes of testing the
conversion.
Later, in the second full conversion most outstanding issues from this
first one should be resolved, rendering the data more permanent, so that
it will be ready for the last and final conversion.
Hopefully we can continue the dialogue, and move forward with the complete
installation at this accelerated (normal) pace for a conversion and
implementation.
A. H.

please see letter below which we received from Susan Bristol complementing
Waseeq on excellent work. THANK YOU WASEEQ.
Pierre, please post this letter in the coffee room area so that people can
share in this excellent reflection on ProvideX Express System. It will do
a lot to start the process we discussed today with the group in taking
pride in our work, ourselves and our team. It also shows that customers
value us when we help them.
We must work to see that their request can be met and also ensure that
they know that all people are exceptional and will give them excellent
work.
